We are very excited to announce that NetHui is coming back to Wellington. It will take place on 3-4 October at Te Papa. The registration is already open, and tickets are available.
We are going back to the traditional national event this year, but with a twist. With the Christchurch Call in mind, NetHui 2019 will focus on safety, inclusion and wellbeing on the open Internet. We would also love to take a step further this year and develop a community action plan to achieve the goals that come out of the event.
What is NetHui?
NetHui brings everybody and anybody that wants to talk about the Internet together. It’s not a conference or a BarCamp, and speakers don’t talk at you all day. It is instead about discussing and exploring possibilities, ideas and challenges, together.
NetHui is made for the community, with the community. It’s designed by the people who want to go. InternetNZ wants to hear what it is that matters to you and what you want to talk about - and then we help to pull it all together.
NetHui is one of the most exciting and dynamic events for discussing our Internet in New Zealand. We would love to have you come and join us, and join these conversations and explorations too.
Why register early?
Early Bird tickets are just $70 and are available until 31 July only. Also, if you come to the capital from elsewhere, we strongly encourage you to book a place to stay as soon as possible. The capital hosts the annual World of Wearable Arts Awards Show in early October. With NetHui and WOW happening at the same time, you’ll want to book a room asap.
How to be involved?
Please fill this short form by 30 June to get involved in creating the programme for NetHui 2019, and we’ll be in touch to discuss it further.
We’re looking forward to hearing from you if you want to help organise a session, facilitate a discussion, host a side event, volunteer or suggest a particular topic.
We are hoping to see business owners, education providers, regional start-ups and people from the general public who are interested in tech and the Internet. If you think NetHui suits someone that you know, make sure to pass the message on.
If you have any questions about NetHui, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, if you want to be a sponsor or a community supporter of NetHui, please get in touch with us.
