NetHui is coming back to Wellington this October!
Tickets are on sale now at the early bird price of $70 - October 3-4 at Te Papa in Wellington. It’s been a long time since we’ve brought the full NetHui experience to the capital. Sure, there have been some smaller events, but this is the full two-day NetHui experience, with an additional day of feeder side events on 2 October as well. It’s going to be interesting, challenging and exciting, and we would love to have you come and join us.
If you haven’t been to a NetHui before, now is the chance. NetHui is deliberately unlike many other Internet events. It’s a discussion about engagement, ideas and exploration - together. It isn’t a day about sitting down and hearing someone tell you the answers - it’s a day about finding and exploring the answers and potential, together. It’s great fun, and if you haven’t been to one before then now is your chance in Wellington. And if you have, then you already know how great this show can be.
We have a challenging theme this year. With the Christchurch Call in mind, our theme is safety, inclusion and wellbeing on the open Internet. We want to gather together and look at what it means to build and use an open Internet that can address some of these challenges, and that can help make our lives and communities better. We’ve already heard from dozens of people that are keen on running sessions for this event and to explore some of these ideas too. All they need now is a willing set of participants to come and join these discussions. So - that’s where you come in. At InternetNZ, we believe that questions, challenges and opportunities like this can only be met by working with each other and finding new answers. That’s why we are proud to pull NetHui together.
We are trying things a little different price wise this year. The prices are a bit higher - that’s because they cover the direct costs of food for the two days of the event. We are also offering a wider range of options for people to attend at a lower cost, via fellowships and gifting of tickets. However, to encourage you to get in early, we are offering an early bird ticket of $70 for two days right now. Get in quick, this early bird pricing ends on 31 July.
