We are just one week away from NetHui 2019. Which means that you have just one week to grab a ticket and come and join us on 3-4 October at Te Papa in Wellington.
This year’s NetHui couldn’t come at a more important time. The theme is safety, inclusion and wellbeing on the open Internet. We’ve set that theme to provide a space for us all to debate, discuss and explore how we can enhance these things online. We think that addressing these themes is ever more important as we contemplate where we go next with our Internet, particularly after the horrible events in Christchurch.
That’s because at InternetNZ we believe that challenges with the Internet are addressed and solved together - where we have room and space to hear the variety of perspectives on challenging Internet issues and to blend those to find a path forward that works. Where we don’t place the technology, or the Government, or money at the centre of those questions and instead consider all of the angles and how we can make it work best for Aotearoa.
That’s what NetHui is about. We’ve built a great programme this year to explore these things together.
All we need now is for you to come and join us too. Grab your NetHui ticket here before they sell out, and see you next week!
